The Jamataka Primary School head, Ms Ndiko Itsing has appealed to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to adopt the school and also called on other stakeholders to help alleviate the shortage of classrooms at the school.
Speaking during a donation of computers to the school by the PPRA yesterday, she said to date there were three classes being taught in the open because of shortage of classrooms.
PPRA donated five computers and 15 office chairs to the school. It's representative Ms Chipo Lesetedi said the donation was part of PPRA corporate social responsibility efforts guided by their tag line Public Procurement done right.
Ms Lesetedi added that the gesture was aligned to their values of driving innovation as the computers would enhance digital literacy, research and creativity.
Ms Itsing expressed the school's appreciation for the support. She further commended their Parents and Teacher committee which raised funds to buy a photocopying machine worth P42,000. ENDS
