Local girls excel at Junior Idol World Pageant

Five young girls from Botswana shone at the just-ended Junior Idol World Pageant held in Bangkok.
In an interview, Botswana’s national director for the pageant, Lebogang Matheakgomo, said the event was in its fourth edition and featured competitors from over 10 countries.
Marang Sapelo claimed the title of Little Miss Junior Idol World first runner-up and also won the Best Catwalk Award.
Tanisha Leepile was crowned Miss Pre-Teen Junior Idol World and received the Best Sportswear Award.
Isago Ralethaka achieved third runner-up in the Mini Miss Junior Idol World category and won Best Interview. Katlego Matheakgomo earned the Rising Star title in Miss Pre-Teen Junior Idol World along with the Photogenic Award.
Meanwhile, Kalen Siti received the Rising Star title in the Little Miss Junior Idol World category.
Matheakgomo praised the girls for their exceptional performances, highlighting their talent and dedication in representing Botswana on the international stage. ENDS
