BOCRA donates to Dithejwane

Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) has donated five computers and a printer to Dithejwane Junior Secondary School special unit in Molepolole.

BOCRA senior consumer officer, Mr James Mooketsi said BOCRA would continue to show compassion and care for the nation to ensure achievement of Vision 2016.

Mr Mooketsi said when they budget, they included a share for social welfare programmes to help those in need, adding that they did not only donate communication related devices but they had also built houses.

Speaking at the handing over, Mr Mooketsi told students and the staff that they would pay them a visit to check on the results of the donation and the status of the equipment.

For her part, chief education officer for Molepolole/Lentsweletau Administrative Authority, Ms Rosalind Serumola encouraged the school to take advantage of the donated computers to improve their results.

Ms Serumola expressed concern that the number one junior secondary school in Botswana got 80.1 per cent while in Kweneng region the highest was 45.4 per cent, adding that nothing was impossible for Dithejwane to achieve good results.

She advised students to listen to their teachers and parents and take responsibility of their education in order to improve performance . Ends
