Matebele step into the lions den

FNB Premiership log leaders TAFIC will face a stern test when they host Matebele at Francistown City Council Stadium in another crucial league encounter on Saturday.

The match comes just two days after a gruelling 1-1 draw against Gaborone United in Francistown, leaving TAFIC with little time to rest before facing the Matebeleng-based side.

Currently sitting at the top of the log with 30 points from 11 matches, they will be eager to extend their lead against Matebele.

Matebele, currently languishing in 10th position, will be looking to cause an upset.

While they are underdogs, they are likely to present a tough challenge, making this a high-stakes encounter.

Football fans should expect a fiercely contested game with both teams vying for victory.

TAFIC coach Elias Chinyemba was red-carded for dissent in the Wednesday game against Gaborone United, but will be in charge of his team  against Matebele.

“Yes, I will be in charge of my team against Matebele as I have not been suspended. I was only red-carded for that game, not suspended for subsequent matches,”  Chinyemba confirmed. ENDS
