21 Jan 2014
Serowe-based outfit, Miscellaneous failed to collect maximum points in their January 18 encounter with Lobatse giants, BMC.
Miscellaneous, who enjoyed a lion’s share of ball posssession from the first whistle of the game until the dying minutes failed to utilise the many chances that they created.
They only managed to take a single chance when Moyenga Chakova netted for his side in the early minutes of the first half after BMC keeper failed to deal with the shot from Segolame Boy.
Meanwhile, an outstanding save was made by BMC keeper, Edwin Mokibe, denying substitute Keaotshepha Omphile a goal from a brilliantly taken free kick. In the dying minutes of the game, Kemmy Pilato leveled the score, thanks to Tshepho Motlhabankwe’s shot. The Zebras defender displayed maturity and experience throughout the game.
Miscellaneous aka Tse Nala coach, Otsile Koolese said it was one of the games where they should have collected maximum points because they dominated the game. Koolese attributed the draw to lapse in concentration by his defence in last minutes and failure to convert chances that they created.
Lobatse side coach, Daniel Nare said it was a difficult game as they took more than an hour to settle and gave credit to Miscellaneous because they played well. “On the whole, we started on the back foot” he said.
Nare acknowledged that though both teams played under the same conditions, the ground however, had deteriorated and was not conducive to good football. “The pitch condition is not the same as when it was assessed or approved to be used for premier league games” he stated. ENDS
