Access Bank Trans Cash Carry sign MoU

Access Bank and Trans Cash and Carry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in establishing the beverages distributor credit programme.
Speaking at the signing of the MoU, Access Bank Head of Wholesale Banking, Ms Pauline Motswagae said they harnessed and learnt solutions for different markets which they packaged and brought what was relevant to their market.
Ms Motswagae said they took the best from their 22 markets and were privileged to learn and deploy, adding that the programme aimed at facilitating Trans distributors and Trans store.
She also said they wanted to ensure there was financial inclusion while taking the burden of credit from Trans.
Trans Head of Marketing, Ms Thapelo Mmono, expressed her belief in the power of collaboration. “We believe that by working together, we can achieve more,” she said. She acknowledged the economic challenges faced by their customers, particularly bars and restaurants, which often request credit but do not have access to banking services.
“As a trading company, we cannot provide funds directly; therefore, this collaboration for the Beverages Distributor Credit Programme is exciting,” she explained. Ms Mmono said the partnership with Access Bank would create opportunities that would benefit a broader community of distributors and retailers. She said with the partnership with Access Bank, many people would benefit from the programme. ENDS
