16 Oct 2024

Young gospel artist, Andy Feries has released a 10-track instrumental Gospel album.

In an interview with BOPA, Feries, AKA AndoFire, revealed that the album released last month aims at motivating listeners and helping them overcome daily challenges.

The album features songs such as O Mpha Maatla, and He Is The One, among others. AndoFire, a singer, songwriter and braille teacher shared that he recorded his first album in 2016, but the release was delayed due to lack of proper marketing strategies.

“It took time to release the album because we didn’t have a proper marketing plan in place,” he explained.

His first album, an eight-track project titled, Thoriso, drew inspiration from his life experiences and emphasised the message that God’s power is present in both living and non-living things.
AndoFire, who is without sight, added that he is passionate about spreading the message that all things are possible through God’s power.

“Music has a significant impact on people’s daily lives. It has the power to change a nation because of the positive message it brings, making it truly worth dedicating one’s life to,” he said,

AndoFire also highlighted that his partnership with the Virtual Verbal Band marked a turning point in his career.

He also revealed that it helped him gain valuable experience in stage performance, marketing strategies, and self-confidence, all of which contributed to the production of his latest album.

“The experience I gained has been invaluable. I can confidently say that this album is a full package, one that will reach a wider audience,” he noted.

Born and raised in Werda, AndoFire mentioned that he was exposed to music from a young age, using it as a way to express himself and appreciate his talent and he later realised the dream as he practiced it with other learners at the Pudulogong Rehabilitation and Development Trust for the Blind in Mochudi.

As he prepares for the album launch, AndoFire appealed for support from individuals, stakeholders, and organisations to purchase his album.

“The musical arrangements and song content are exceptional, and it’s my only source of income,” he shared. BOPA
