Moshupa District Show chairman Mr Action Thebe has called on investors, entrepreneurs, and the community to go and experience Moshupa trade fair to be held from August 14 -18.

In an interview with BOPA, Mr Thebe noted that this year’s show will be filled with opportunities, innovation and unforgettable experiences.

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, who is also the show patron, is expected to officially open it on August 16.

The main objective of the show, Mr Thebe explained, is to bring people together through networking, benchmarking and finding new ways to scale up and take pride in their businesses.

Mr Thebe noted that the show played a critical role in the local economy because it engaged various sectors, industries and people of all ages, primarily the youth.

He stated that this year’s theme - ‘Embrace Your Trade’ - focuses on fostering and instilling pride on entrepreneurs to be proud of their businesses regardless of the level of scale they are operating in.

“This year the show has moved to our new home which is Moshupa Showground where the event will be held from now going forth,” he said.

Mr Thebe disclosed that activities for the show included Temo Letlotlo, Thuo Letlotlo and Chema Chema workshops scheduled for August 14, followed by an entrepreneurship workshop on August 15. On August 16 there will be a beauty pageant at Moshupa Senior Secondary School. The tickets for the beauty pageant would be sold for P70 and P500 for VIP.

Mr Thebe said August 17 activities will include horse race, dog race and camel rides. Still on the day, there will also be cattle auction sale and the day will end with a festival. A football tournament for teams from the district will follow on August 18. ENDS
