No approaches for Kaunda

FC Satmos spokesperson, Mpenzeni Sambandawe, says no premier league club has approached them for the services of striker, Patrick Kaunda.
Kaunda, the current be Mobile Premier League leading goalscorer with 14 goals, was rumoured to be on the radar of a number of the league’s big guns with BMC and defending champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs among his suitors.
However, the Cheetahs public relations officer, Sambandawe, said the club had received no enquiries for the former Prisons XI marksman. “We have heard the rumours that teams want him but no one has approached us,” he said.
“Our position is that if any team makes a firm offer and he wants to join them, then we would not stand in his way.” Kaunda signed a three-year deal with Satmos before the beginning of the current season and went on to bang in goals that kept the unfancied Selebi Phikwe club punching above its weight in the league.
“He is enjoying his football at the moment and fits in perfectly with the playing philosophy we have here at Satmos,” Sambandawe added. “With the talented squad which we have, our technical team prefers Satmos pass the ball around.”
Satmos stunned a lot of people by repeatedly posting impressive results that kept them in the top half after returning to the be Mobile Premier League last year following one season playing in the First Division North.
Players such as goalkeeper Morambiwa Ndlovu, the skillful Katlego Mpoeleng, Mosimanegape Ramohibidu and Mpoeleng Mpoeleng have helped to keep the team competitive.
Sambandawe said their initial objective was to just survive in the top flight football, but with the way players responded to competition, they had now adjusted ambitions and were gunning for a top eight finish.
Seventh-placed Satmos travel to Molepolole for a meeting with Notwane on Friday as the league resumes following a festive season break. The match starts at 7 pm. ENDS
