One lucky customer will walk home with P1 million in cash as part of Sefalana Group birthday bonanza celebrations. 

Sefalana Group Managing Director, Mr Chandra Chauhan, announced on Monday June 10 during the launch of this year’s birthday celebrations, as the company will be marking its 50 years of existence. 

“It is the first time someone walks away with one million pula in cash,” Mr Chauhan said 

He said for this year’s birthday celebrations, Sefalana would spend P10 million to mark its existence in the country, this time around, doing it differently to change their customer’s lives. 

Apart from the P1 million grand prize, he said two customers would each get half a million pula while 10 customers would also be given P100 000 each. 

Mr Chauhan said from each of their 71 stores countrywide, a lucky customer would win P50 000, adding that the stores would also give away 1 846 smart phones. 

However, he said for a customer to enter the competition, they should have spent over P150 in groceries in one of their stores and one of the goods purchased be among those from the participating brands. 

He further said the hefty amount for the birthday celebrations was to appreciate their customers for their loyalty to the brand. 

He noted that Sefalana was an employer of over 7 000 people, of which 5 000 were in Botswana. 

He said the majority of their employees in Botswana were locals while expatriate employees were less than a percentage. 

He said Sefalana was proud to be a local brand, and further said the largest Sefalana shareholders were Batswana through the Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund and the Debswana Pension Fund. 

He also said Sefalana supports local farmers through buying their produce. Ends
