Palapye receives 11 Christmas babies

Palapye Primary Hospital was blessed with 11 babies on Christmas day.
The hospital superintendent, Ms Gaogakwe Rankosha said in an interview that the babies were six girls and five boys. Ms Rankosha said the first baby was born a few minutes after midnight on Christmas morning.
She said the hospital was happy to have received 11 bundles of joy on Christmas day, adding that the first baby to be born was given a present. She said all the 11 babies and their mothers were in good health.
At Lerala clinic, one baby boy was born around six in the morning whilst at Sekgoma Memorial Hospital five boys were born on the day. At Selebi Phikwe hospital three babies, two girls and a boy were born on Christmas day. The hospital’s chief registered nurse, Ms Ditsame Kebalepile said the babies were born during the day on Christmas day.
She said the hospital was happy to have been blessed with Christmas babies, adding that she was worried when no baby was born in the morning. She said the first baby was given presents, adding that the hospital would also give a gift to the first baby to be born on New Year’s Day. ENDS
