Miss World Africa, Lesego Chombo has announced her plans to commercialise her talents following Miss World competition.

She made the announcement during a press conference held in Gaborone on Thursday.

Chombo indicated her excitement in working with various institutions as a brand ambassador noting, ‘I am looking forward to speaking engagements where I can impact and inspire others while also making a living.’

She also mentioned that she anticipated to engage in different activities with the Miss World organisation.

Chombo envisions her endeavours as inspirational and financially sustaining.

She said she would take part at the upcoming Beauty with a Purpose world tour across Africa, Asia, and Europe, arranged by the Miss World organisation.

Now that she has concluded her reign as Miss Botswana, she said she was eager to pursue her interests.
Chombo has again, expressed her desire to collaborate with friends she made at the Miss World platform, including partnering with other world foundations.

At the same press conference, Chombo also introduced the team she would be working with during her reign as Miss World Africa and at the Lesego Chombo Foundation.

“I’m looking forward to working with this team, to ensure a successful reign as Miss World Africa. That’s the main idea,” said Chombo and expressed her determination to put to good use her skills.

“Whenever you recognise my eloquence, remember that I am also a speaker in the commercial realm. Whenever you acknowledge my modeling skills, know that I am a commercial model. I intend to take every skill I possess to the next level,” she said.

Regarding the Genesis Project, which stood out at the Miss World competition, she said she planned to narrow down the focus to Ngami region with the intention to grow to other areas in future.

“While I used to work with many children, for the sake of impact, I plan to select a few families to work with consistently and be accountable for the next few years. This will be in the Ngami region,” she said and added that she was open to partner with other institutions.

She talked about her intention to operate as a brand and be involved in various engagements beyond Beauty with a Purpose and Miss World.

She hastened to explain that operating as a brand, she did not mean that she was unwilling to partner with other institutions because she was very much open to collaboration. ENDS
