Tatisiding football tournament enchants residents

Tatisiding residents witnessed a cheerful festive holiday that saw eight teams competing in a week-long soccer tournament that wrapped up December 31. The games continued into the evening at Tatitown’s Mamba grounds under the floodlights that created an inviting atmosphere for spectators. Thunder Firing FC won first prize, bagging P7 000, gold medals and a trophy. All Stars scooped position two, pocketed P5 000 and a silver medal while Real Makoya came third and won P2 000 as well as bronze medals. Event organiser, Bokang Keteng told BOPA that he invested P23 000 in the event and was happy with how things turned out. He thanked the teams and volunteers for their support and making the tournament a memorable occasion that would now become an annual event. The tournament also afforded the informal sector a chance to make a quick buck which they said, would go towards buying school uniform. EndsSource : BOPA
