Street names to be installed during current financial year

The installation of street names in Tonota West will be implemented before end of the 2023/2024 financial year.
The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Talita Monnakgotla told Parliament that consultations were carried out and submission taken for final determination by the then Central District full council meeting in 2017. She, however, said the implementation, which involved the actual installation of the street names was delayed by consideration of other competing priorities.
Tonota legislator Mr Pono Moatlhodi had wanted to know the delays behind the execution of the street naming project in Tonota West. ENDS
