Maintenance of Lesilakgokong office on cards

Maintenance of kgosi’s office in Lesilakgokong will be done by the fourth quarter of the current financial year.
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Talita Monnakgotla confirmed to Parliament on Tuesday that the material for the maintenance works was already on site.
Ms Monnakgotla stated that Kgosi’s office at Kumakwane was in a good state.
She concurred that Kumakwane, Kubung and Lesilakgokong tribal administration offices currently did not have vehicles. She said the Kubung Customary Court vehicle was boarded on December 15, 2020, She said the vehicle will be considered for replacement in the coming financial year.
Currently, Ms Monnakgotla said Kubung was getting assistance from the Thamaga Tribal office.
Ms Monnakgotla added that the Lesilakgokong vehicle had been recommended for boarding, therefore the village kgotla was currently getting transport assistance from Molepolole.
As for Kumakwane Kgotla, Ms Monnakgotla said the vehicle was currently at the garage for repair and was expected to be ready for use on December 19.
He said the office was currently using a vehicle loaned by the Department of Tribal Administration, head office to alleviate transport challenges.
Thamaga/Kumakwane Member of Parliament, Mr Palelo Motaosane has asked if the minister was aware that the vehicles of the said offices including Kubung had long been off the road. ends
