No financial assistance to Tautona Lodge-Morwaeng

The Minister for State President, Mr Kabo Morwaeng has told Parliament that following its establishment as an incorporated entity, Tautona Lodge has not enjoyed any financial assistance from government but used generated income to sustain itself.
Mr Morwaeng said should the need to seek government assistance arise, proper channels would be followed to provide such assistance.
He said the lodge was operational with a staff compliment of 44.
The lodge, he said was able to experience full occupancy at peak periods but did not experience fluctuating occupancy rates at other times, as was the norm in hospitality.
Minister Morwaeng said occupancy rate stood at 38 per cent. He was responding to a question from the Selebi-Phikwe East Member of Parliament, Mr Kgoberego Nkawana who asked the Minister about the current status of Tautona Lodge and whether the lodge was operational, staff complement and monthly occupancy rate. Mr Nkawana also asked the Minister whether the lodge needed any financial assistance from government. Ends
