School management addresses kgotla meeting
09 Dec 2013
Artesia Junior Secondary School management address parents through kgotla meetings in their respective settlements instead of providing them with transport, said assistant minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Patrick Masimolole.
In response to a question in parliament, he said the move is improving parental involvement in the education of their children. Kgatleng West MP, Mr Gilbert Mangole had asked the minister if he will consider providing transport for parents when attending Parents teachers Association (PTA) meetings given that the school caters mostly for Remote Area Dwellers with a view to facilitating the participation of parents in their children’s education.
