Bere East and West Hanahai schools maintenance next year

Bere, East Hanahai and West Hanahai Primary schools will be maintained during the 2024/2025 financial year if funds permit.
Answering a question in Parliament, the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Mr Mabuse Pule said Bere and West Hanahai Primary Schools were budgeted for in 2018/19 financial year but due to the adverse of defects in schools, the P32.2 million allocated to Ghanzi District Council could not cover the schools.
He said Bere and West Hanahai primary schools last went major maintenance in 2006 and East Hanahai was maintained in 2016 at a cost of about P994 576 00.
Member of Parliament for Ghanzi North Mr John Thiite had wanted to know when the last cyclic maintenance for each school was conducted and their future maintenance plans and timelines. Ends
