Galaxy receive P1.5m sponsorship

Ahead of their highly anticipated clash against Orlando Pirates on Sunday, Jwaneng Galaxy received a shot in the arm in the form of a P1.5 million sponsorship from Naledi Mining Services for the 2023/2024 football season.

Speaking at the sponsorship launch on Wednesday, Naledi Mining senior manager, Bokang Thitoyamore said the company was delighted to be aligned with Galaxy because of the shared values of determination, perseverance, unity and teamwork toward achieving goals.

He said besides their core mandate of providing mining services, they strived to make an impact on communities within which they operated hence their partnership with a unifying sport like football.

“Sports transcends borders, cultures and languages, uniting millions with a shared passion,” he said, adding that it also teaches the values of discipline, perseverance and teamwork as well as dedication and determination to achieve.

He also said they shared a vision of excellence with the premier league champions and CAF Championships League campaigners.

He applauded the team for its achievements since it was established and the impact it continued to make both nationally and across the continent.

He said their performance was a testament that there was continuous improvement and strides made.

He also urged other business entities to support sporting codes and athletes.

He further appealed to supporters to attend Galaxy matches in large numbers as it would motivate the players.

For his part, Galaxy’s board chairperson, Segolame Ntwayagae said the sponsorship would motivate them as they strived to dominate local football and improve their ranking and performance in the CAF league. He said they had experienced players and an exceptional technical team to make an impact in the continent.

The team also unveiled the new kits for the 2023/2024 season. Ends
