Miscellaneous and Nico United shared spoils after their encounter ended in a stalemate of one-all draw.

The dull encounter, which was played at the Swallows grounds in Palapye, saw Nico United opening the score sheet few minutes after kickoff through a Khumoetsile Kufigwa tap in.

The Selebi Phikwe based side caught their opponents with a counter attack orchestrated from the right flank and Kufigwa had the easiest job to do as he simply tapped in the perfect cross, putting the ball far from the Miscellaneous goal keeper’s reach.

Then midway through the first half, the hosts levelled matters through Keaotshepha Omphile’s strike making sure that he got his team back into play. In the second half, Nico seemed like a better side, especially in the opening minutes, creating numerous scoring opportunities but their top men were wasteful in front of goal.

The opponent’s keeper also made some good saves denying Nico to extend their lead. The encounte was characterised by too many stoppages, due to reckless tackles from both teams.

The hosts nearly scored a second goal through the hard working Mooketsi Gareonne who unleashed a lethal shot but Basimanebotlhe Moilwa was equal to the task, making a brilliant save.

Few minutes later, Kamogelo Molemogi, smashed a thunderous shot that came from the crossbar much to the relieve of their opponents.

In a nutshell, the encounter could be described as a game of missed chances from both teams and it is clear that local strikers have a long way to go. Ends
