Hospital construction not in NDP 10

The Assistant Minister of Health says government is not reluctant to construct a hospital in Kanye.
Answering a question in Parliament, Dr Gloria Somolokae said construction of such a hospital is not provided for in the current National Development Plan Ten (NDP10).
“Even during the recent mid-term review of NDP10 it could not be considered,” she said. Dr Somolokae further said government through the health ministry continues to support the Seventh Adventist hospital in Kanye to cater for the district.
The MP for Kanye South, Mr Abram Kesupile, had wanted to know why government is reluctant to accede to a request by the Bangwaketse ethnic group for a government hospital in the village. ENDS
