No funds for fax machines

The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso has informed Parliament that Mogobane and Otse tribal offices do not have fax facilities due to budgetary constraints.
Responding to a question, she said estimated costs for connecting the two offices with internet facilities was P63 000 and P31 500 for Mogobane and Otse respectively. The tender for internet connections at Ramotswa tribal offices was under evaluation and was expected to be awarded mid December 2013.
The South East South MP, Odirile Motlhale had asked if the minister was aware that tribal offices in Mogobane and Otse did not have fax facilities. He also asked the minister to state the amount it would cost to connect tribal offices of the two villages and Ramotswa with internet in line with the e-government policy.
Meanwhile Ms Tshireletso had told Parliament that the average monthly wage for a muthugi (hand stamper) in a primary school is P480 and for supervisors is P560 per month.
Kanye North MP, Kentse Rammidi had asked her to state the average wage per month of a mothugi in a primary school. ENDS
