As per the boundary re-alignment map of 1994 provided by Statistics Botswana by Southern District Authorities, Sese village falls under Ngwaketse Sub District.

Answering a parliamentary question, the Minister of Finance, Ms Peggy Serame said the map had applied to all censuses conducted up to the 2022 Population and Housing Census. 

Statistics Botswana uses Census Districts for purposes of Population and Housing censuses, she said further explaining that for purposes of enumeration, Census Districts were usually aligned to associated Administrative Districts and all Sub districts with boundaries, save for the Delta and CKGR which were special purposes census districts.

Minister Serame said on the basis of the above, Sese village falls under Ngwaketse Sub District and not Mabutsane Sub District hence the reason why the population census statistics for its residents were being submitted at Ngwaketse Sub District.

The MP for Jwaneng-Mabutsane, Mr Mephato Reatile wanted the minister to state the reasons for submitting population census statistics for the residents of Sese at the Moshupa Sub District yet the residents fall under Mabutsane Sub District jurisdication. ENDS
