VP package does not include vehicle staff

The retirement package for vice presidents does not include official vehicle and staff but in exceptional or special cases, the President may award particular benefits or privileges.
Responding to a question from Parliament, the Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri said the vehicle’s usage for political activities was also determined by conditions determined by the President under paragraph 76 of the Green Book.
Francistown South MP, Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister if retirement package for vice president included a car and staff. He wanted to know if this was stipulated by law and whether such vehicles could be used for political activities. Ends
