Govt spends over P229 million on office rentals

Government spends over P229.5 million annually and over P19.1 million monthly on office rentals in Gaborone.
This was revealed by Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, Dr Kefentse Mzwinila in response to a parliamentary question on Monday.
Dr Mzwinila said government also spent over P2.8 million monthly and over P34 million annually on office rentals outside Gaborone.
“The figures are rental payments for leasing private properties as of February this year,” explained the minister.
Francistown West Member of Parliament, Mr Ignatius Moswaane had requested the minister to state how much government was spending on office rentals in and outside of Gaborone monthly and annually. ENDS
