The Ministry of Finance has proposed a total budget of over P1.5 billion for programmes and projects to be implemented during the Second Transitional National Development Plan (TNDP).

Minister of Finance Ms Peggy Serame told Parliament that her ministry would continue to pursue reforms aimed at achieving the goal of a sustainable, inclusive and competitive economy which would go a long way in enabling the ministry to deliver on the goals and aspirations of Vision 2036.

She said priority had been given to completing projects with contractual obligations and those with strategic high value.

She added that priority had also been given to projects that drove digitisation of services, infrastructure development and value chain development in line with the RESET Agenda.

Ms Serame said ICT development, statistical surveys and studies, consultancies and infrastructure development have been proposed for implementation during the TNDP. ENDS
