Areas of Mahalapye that were excluded during the first phase of the Mahalapye sewage system and connection will be catered for under the National Development Plan 12.

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Mabuse Pule said when answering a question on behalf of the Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, Dr Kefentse Mzwinila in Parliament that some residents of Tshikinyega, Mowana, Thomadithotse and Madiba in Mahalapye were excluded from the provision of sewage system and sewer connection during the first phase of the project.

The minister also explained that due to budgetary constraints the upgrading works were not included in NDP 11 to cater for the residents. Mahalapye West MP, Mr David Tshere wanted an update regarding provision of sewage system and connection for residents who were excluded during the first phase of the project.  Ends
