Tshesebe Police investigate fatal accident

Tshesebe Police are investigating a fatal accident which claimed the lives of two male pedestrians aged 34 and 35 at Jackalas 1 on Saturday night.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 22-year-old driver lost control of a vehicle and veered off the road killing the two who were standing near a parked vehicle at Bezzel Bar.
Confirming the incident, Acting Station Commander of Tshesebe Police station, Assistant Superintendent Mothokomedi Ponyane said the driver who was in custody was a Special Support Group constable based in Palapye.
Asst Supt Ponyane could not confirm allegations that the driver, who hails from Sebina was heavily drunk but said investigations were ongoing.
He said the 34 years and 35 year old deceased persons were from Ramokgwebana and Tatisiding villages respectively.
Asst Supt Ponyane disclosed that relatives of the two had been informed and the bodies were awaiting post mortem at Nyangabwe Referral Hospital. ENDS.
