Boteti sub-council closes financial year on deficit

Boteti Sub-Council closed financial year 2021/22 with a general fund deficit of P45 425 428.91.

The sub-council chairman, Mr Molemi Galeragwe explained this during a recent sub-council session in Letlhakane. He said the deficit was an increase of P3 460 813.40 from P41 964 615.51 of the previous year, adding the contributing votes included relief of destitute and security services.

The sub-district, he said, received a Revenue Support Grant (RSG) amounting to P27 118 682.50 in April 2022 followed by another quarterly disbursement amounting to P27 118 682.50 in July 2022.

Mr Galeragwe said as at August 15, total expenses stood at P47 322 015.87 which translated to 87 per cent of the received RSG.

He said on one hand, collection on own source stood at P936 895. 89 against a yearly target of P5 889 310.00. ends
