Top public officers to undertake countrywide tour
21 Aug 2022
Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP), Ms Emmah Peloetletse and her deputy Ms Matshidiso Bokole will beginning Wednesday undertake a countrywide tour to address and engage public service employees.
An Office of the President press release says the tour is meant to appreciate concerns or challenges employees may be experiencing in their duties and duty stations thereby hampering prompt and effective delivery of services.
It says the tour will also accord the public service’s top officials an opportunity to apprise public service employees on policy pronouncements aimed at advancing the government development agenda.
The tour will be in two phases with the first phase commencing on August 24 until September 5 covering Gaborone, Maun and Selebi Phikwe.
It says the PSP and DPSP engagements with public officers will be preceded by engagements with trade unions tomorrow as they are considered key stakeholders.
“The dates and venues for the second phase will be announced in due course. Subsequent to the aforementioned consultations by the PSP and DPSP, permanent secretaries of ministries will make further consultations with public officers in their respective ministries across districts,” says the release. ends
