Serame implores pupils to focus on their studies

Phitshane Molopo primary school pupils have been implored to take education with the seriousness it deserves.
Speaking during a courtesy call on students, teachers the village leadership on recently, Minster of Finance, Ms Peggy Serame advised students to work hard because ‘hard work pays.’
She urged student to be focused and identify their career so that thye to have a bright future.
The finance minister advised students to treat her as an example, saying she was a proud product of Phitshane Molopo primary and that despite having schooled in a remote area, she managed to excel in her studies.
She urged them to be obedient to their parents and teachers if they wanted to do well in their school studies.
Ms Serame said she was aware that times had changed and so were the challenges of the day but that should not deter students from focusing on their studies.
The minister who has adopted the school sometime back promised the school management that very soon she would be back to try and talk to students in a relaxed environment and appreciate their challenges.
She also donated 100 pairs of school shoes to students and said the gesture would go a long way in ensuring that lack of basic amenities did not disturb them to concentrate in their studies.
Furthermore she paid a visit to Goodhope Senior Secondary School where she checked on boarding students who lost their belongings to fire when their dormitory was gutted down by a raging inferno. She donated some blankets and toiletry to the affected students.
At Goodhope senior school Ms Serame told students not to despair because such tragedies did happen from time to time and urged them to focus on their studies.
Ms Serame thanked the Grace foundation and Blackout foundation for their contributions that made it possible for her to assist students. Ends
