Ten houses have been completed and handed over to needy families through the Presidential Housing Appeal from 2018 to date, Minister for State President, Mr Kabo Morwaeng has told Parliament.

He said the houses were distributed to Boteti West, Taung, Ranaka, Kedia, Letlhakeng, Pilikwe, Jackalas 2, Boatle, Malolwane and Mandunyane.

However, he said he could not establish the value of each house since all were handed through direct donations. 

He noted that there had been a P8 400 increase in the Presidential Housing Appeal account balance from P891 711 in 2018 to P900 111 as at July 2021.

Jwaneng/Mabutsane MP, Mr Mephato Reatile asked the minister about the number of houses built for the poor under the Presidential Housing Appeal from 2018 to date, and the value of each house as well as the location of each house. The MP had also asked about the balance in the account of the Presidential Housing Appeal and the difference in balances between 2018 and 2021. Ends
