First Division North was in full swing on November 2 in Serowe as Green Lovers hosted Palapye All Stars in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.

 The game kicked off under intense heat at the Green Lovers home ground known as ‘Tlhare-setala’ to the legion of Serowe soccer lovers. It was Palapye All Stars who broke the deadlock late in the first half through top man Godfrey Baopeleng.

The game went to recess with All Stars leading, but both teams could have scored more if they were not wasteful in front of goals. After recess Green Lovers came back a much improved side as they surged forward in search of an equaliser and their efforts were rewarded early in the second half as they pulled one back through Baagi ‘Bester’ Lekhutile.

Bester calmly controlled a neat cross from the left flank before firing past the opponent’s keeper. Both teams kept on creating scoring chances but their forwards were wasteful in front of goal. Ends
