Moselewapula bye-election next month

An election instrument ordering the holding of a by-election on July 30 for Moselewapula polling district in Francistown West constituency has been issued.
An Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) media release says the instrument was issued June 22 by Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse in accordance with Section 154(2) of the Electoral Act.
The release says nominations of candidates will be received on July 7 between 9am to 12:30pm and 2pm and 5pm at Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education.
The seat was rendered vacant by the death on April 25 of the incumbent Mr Reuben Kethoilwe of the Umbrella for Democratic Change. ENDS
