Groth in Spain for world champs

Botswana’s junior karate champion, Khaya Groth is in Spain to take part in the World Karate Federation Junior Championships scheduled for November 7-10 in Guadalajara, 65km east of capital Madrid.
A news release from Botswana Karate Association said Groth qualified to take part in the championships after clinching a silver medal earlier at Africa Championships in Tunisia in August. More than 50 countries are expected to take part in the championships, including karate power houses such as France, Italy and Japan.
Groth will be accompanied by BOKA president, Sensei Million Masumbika and his coach, Sensei George Tshikare. Meanwhile three referees will attend the referees’ course in Spain. The three are Sensei Mpho Bakwadi, Sensei Union Kgafela and Sensei Jonathan Phirie. Ends
