Masitaoka official remains optimistic

31 Oct 2013

Masitaoka are not pressing panic buttons despite recent poor performances in the Debswana First Division South League.

The Molepolole team is rock bottom of the log with a single point after six matches. This is in sharp contrast to last season when they were fighting for promotion to the premier league. As they prepare for a crucial encounter against fellow strugglers, Black Peril, Masitaoka public relations officer, Kopano Bile said they were aiming to bounce back.

The two bottom teams square off at the VDC Ground in Tlokweng on Saturday (November 2) at 4pm. “We would be looking for nothing but, the three points on Saturday. After losing to Black Forest last week, we went back to the drawing board. The players have been training hard and we are well prepared,” confident Bile said. He stressed that there was nothing wrong with the team and they were not pressing panic buttons.

“The coaching staff is in the process of finding the right combinations because we have signed new and young players. We would be competitive again once the team has gelled.” Black Peril would also be searching for their first win of the season after three draws and three defeats. They were mauled 4-1 by Mogoditshane Fighters last week.

In other matches this Saturday (November 2) resurgent Mochudi Buffaloes would attempt to end log leaders Letlapeng’s unbeaten run when the two clash at the Buffaloes Ground. Mogoditshane Fighters welcome Jwaneng Comets at the Fighters Ground. Comets would be looking to build onto last week’s impressive 1-0 victory over Killer Giants.

Modipane United would lay in wait for Ghanzi Terrors in Modipane, while newly promoted sides Black Forest and Rolling Boys would do battle in Mmankgodi. On Sunday, Prisons XI would visit Killer Giants at Siga. All matches kick-off at 4pm. ENDS
