Global Lubricants, a Francistown-based company manufacturing automotive and industrial lubricants as well as greases, plans to dominate the African market in the near future.
Speaking in an interview at Business Botswana Northern Trade Fair on Saturday, the sales executive of Global Lubricants, Ms Meltah Eluya said their range of products met the demands of the automotive, marine, mining, transportation, food, industrial and engineering markets.
She said they manufactured and distributed an extensive range of lubricants, greases, pastes, compounds and utility products such as brake fluid, anti-freeze, industrial degreasers and essential products. Ms Eluya also said she supplied retail shops around the country, mines, Botswana Railways, civil aviation and Central Transport Organisation.
“I supply according to customer’s specifications,” she said, adding that the specifications varied depending on the type of machine.
However, she complained about rising material costs. She said she ordered her material from Australia, Ukraine and Brazil and that the war in Ukraine has caused prices to rise astronomically.
Ms Eluya also noted that her company was an ISO 9001 certified blender of lubricants and that they have been manufacturing quality lubricants since 2006.
She said responding to international trends, requirements and the desire to be part of the international network, Global Lubricants teamed up with Strub-SA to set up a manufacturing hub Botswana.
She said their mission was to be the leading independent manufacturer and marketer of lubricants and greases in the African market.
“One must evolve and constantly improve products through the development of skills and research,” she said. Ends
