Residents of Notwane in Gaborone Central constituency have been promised an array of long-anticipated developments.
Gaborone Central MP, Mr Tumisang Healey made the promise during a kgotla meeting at Notwane Primary School on Wednesday evening.

He said despite the setbacks encountered due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was willing to fast-track developments .
He acknowledged that there was no budget allocated to his constituency for the past two years, making it difficult to address critical issues, but expressed the hope that the P10 million constituency funds availed in the 2022/23 budget, would help.

Mr Healy said priority would be given to paving of internal roads, revamping culverts for storm-water drainage, and installing tower lights.
For his part, ward councillor, Mr Isaac Molefhe said he was determined to forge ties with all government departments to attain all community development goals.

Mr Molefhe urged members of the community to pay service levies, which could be used to mitigate some of the challenges they were experiencing.
He also encouraged government employees to improve service delivery for ease of community development. ends
