Ms Nkopo Moribame, 91, who died on Friday, has been described as a gracious woman who inspired her children to be the best in all their endeavours.
President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi said this in Gaborone Tuesday during his visit to the residence of Permanent Secretary to the President, Ms Emma Peloetletse, who is the deceased’s daughter.
“On behalf of government and the people of Botswana, it is very appropriate for me to console this family due to the daily close working relations that I have with the deceased’s daughter who has an immense contribution in advising the President's office,” he said.
President Masisi said he found it fitting to convey his condolences in person to the Peloetletse family due to the close working relations between his office and the PSP.
He pointed out that it was also in accordance with Setswana culture to support the bereaved and offer them the necessary comfort.
Ms Moribame will be laid to rest in Semolale on Saturday.BOPA
