President Masisi off to South Africa tomorrow

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will tomorrow attend the 5th Botswana-South Africa Bi-National Commission in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to a Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation media release, senior officials and ministerial sessions scheduled for Tuesday up to today, precede tomorrow’s heads of state session.
The release says the commission will afford the two countries the opportunity to discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest and review progress on the implementation of cooperation commitments as well as explore other potential areas for collaboration.
“The two countries enjoy excellent cooperation in a number of areas such as trade and investment, defence and security, agriculture, transport, telecommunications and tourism,” says the release.
In addition, it says Botswana and South Africa share close bilateral ties that are founded on deep historical, cultural, linguistic and family ties, including shared values and principles.
President Masisi’s delegation includes Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation, Dr Lemogang Kwape, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng, Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Kagiso Mmusi, Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila, Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs, Ms Annah Mokgethi, Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Mr Lefoko Moagi, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Mmusi Kgafela, Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Thulagano Segokgo and Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism, Ms Phildah Kereng. ends
