Students urged to take studies seriously

Heroes of God Apostolic Church, has donated toiltries to 50 learners at Goora-Seno Ward in Kanye North constituency.
The donation was part of the church’s Easter celebrations.
Bishop Daniel Molefhinyane implored pupils to take their studies seriously.
“It is so heart wrenching to see many learners in primary and secondary schools taking their education for granted,” he said.
He said the church was making the donation to ensure that the learners maintained good hygiene and focus more on their studies.
“These Easter holidays our church has taken a deliberate move to celebrate with the learners, not only through donation of toiletry, but also to reassure them that there is a better future ahead of them, only if they can focus more on their studies,” he said.
Bishop Molefhinyane underscored the importance of personal hygiene, adding that a good and healthy body allows one to be confident, while keeping away illness and diseases.
He said good hygiene not only leads to better health, confidence and overall growth, but ‘it is critical for helping people to lead long and healthy lives, especially in this era of COVID-19’.
Bishop Molefhinyane further cautioned the learners against indulging in bad habits, as such vices usually resulted in them losing interest in their studies.
He indicated that, Heroes of God Apostolic Church mostly encourages the love for one another, as a way of promoting love and good works, adding that they are also mandated to preach the word of God.
He therefore encouraged pupils to attend any church of their choice in order to grow and build themselves in the gospel of God.
For his part, Kebuang Ward Councillor, Oteng Wadipudi, thanked the church for recognising the children’s needs.
Cllr Wadipudi therefore implored the church to continue with the spirit of giving even in years to come.
“Your generosity shall create a better world for our children, as they shall now be inspired to work hard.
I believe we can uphold our vision of changing people’s lives through works such as these,” he said. ends
