Karowe mine expands

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will today perform the ground breaking of the Karowe underground mine construction. First commissioned in 2012, the high - tech mine is one of the world's foremost producers of large quality diamonds. The expansion will extend the mine's life to at least 2040. The mine was first commissioned in 2012 and is today celebrating its ten year anniversary. Ends
