Police call for identification of man hit by train

Mochudi Police are investigating an incident where an unidentified man was hit and killed by a train in Pilane in the early hours of Wednesday.
District Number 12 Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Lesole Mosimane said in an interview that the man was suspected to have been sleeping on the rail tracks. He said they were notified about the accident by the train attendants who suspected they had hit something upon passing under the Pilane flyover along the main highway to Mochudi around 2 am. “The police immediately reported to the accident scene and found the body of a middle-aged man lying beside the railroad track. It seems like he was sleeping there,” he said.
Senior Supt Mosimane said the body was at Lynn's mortuary and requested members of the public to help identify him. ends
