22 officers in Motokwe sub-landboard

Parliament has heard that Motokwe sub-landboard has a total of establishment 22 officers.
Responding to a parliamentary question on Wednesday, Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila acknowledged that the sub-landboard operated with a vacancy of three positions of board clerk, assistant conveyancer and land registration officer which fell vacant during the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 financial years.
“All these positions have been filled as at February 2022 to facilitate execution of land management duties.
The deputy sub-landboard secretary for Motokwe sub- landboard is currently not at the duty station because the officer is currently relieving at Mogoditshane sub landboard,” Minister Mzwinila said.
On the other hand, Mr Mzwinila told Parliament that Motokwe sub-landboard had been allocated four vehicles to service the station, comprising one Toyota Corolla Sedan, three off-road vehicles being a Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Hilux double cab and Toyota Land Cruiser station wagon.
“All these vehicles are in good condition to carry out activities in the sub landboard area of jurisdiction and were allocated having considered the terrain of the area.
Kweneng landboard continues to rationalise its available resources to support its sub-landboards to carry out their mandate,” he said.
Takatokwane MP, Mr Friction Leuwe had asked the minister if he was aware of the high number of vacant positions at Motokwe sub landboard, something he said hindered the sub-landboard’s ability to execute land management duties.
Mr Leuwe also wanted to know when the ministry would address shortage of transport at the sub-landboard. BOPA
