Tsela Riders Tour de Frontline partner in charity ride
16 Mar 2022
- Tsela Riders Cycling Cub, in partnership with Tour de Frontline, will this Saturday embark on a 150km charity ride.
Tour de Frontline was founded in 2020 by 10 riders from different clubs in South Africa.
The event will help raise funds for different initiatives that support the less privileged, especially during the difficult times highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic in countries where the tour routes pass.
This year, the tour will cover Botswana as an introductory ride, having passed through Lesotho and Swaziland.
Sponsored by Aluwani Capital Partners, the charity ride will see cyclists from both Tsela Riders and Aluwani Professional Cycling team, thus five riders from each team.
“This is an introductory race aimed at sensitising the cycling community and potential sponsors of our partnership with Tour de Frontline,” said Tsela Riders chairperson, Ofentse Mabote.
“We will be using this time to garner more sponsors and preparing for a race next year, which will enable us to identify and donate to a charity organisation here in Botswana,” said Mabote.
Kao Ramahobo would be leading Tsela Riders pack as captain and the four riders Kitso Moseki, Motheo Ben, Malvin Mpofu as well as Thebe Ruele will join him. ENDS
