23 Oct 2013
The head teacher of Botswelelo Primary School in Maun, Mr Noah Kebafithetse has said parents should encourage their children to perform well academically and compete in all sporting activities.
Speaking at the price giving and culture day of the school recently, Mr Kebafithetse said teachers and parents should not discriminate students according to their academic work. He said the school was doing well academically and parents should not hesitate to enroll their children to bring more competition among students.
The head teacher encouraged parents to keep passing cultural norms and values to the next generation. He encouraged parents to teach their children their traditional food and attire and not for the children to only meet such at school.
The senior teacher for sports and culture, Mr Michael Moekejo said they had many different cultures but, they had a lot in common as they were all Batswana.
Mr Moekejo said people should take culture and development in their hands in order to help diversify and support government in promoting and growing culture. ENDS
