Reboeleng appears for mall robbery

A 30 year old unemployed female of Gaborone, Tsaone Tshegofatso Reboeleng has been charged for her involvement in the main mall cash in transit robbery in which close P1million was stolen.
The suspect appeared before magistrate Kamogelo Mmesi of Extension II magistrate court on Monday without any legal representation.
She has been remanded in custody until March 13 after prosecution pleaded with the court for more time to do their investigations.
Reboeleng faces a single count of armed robbery committed on February 23 at main mall, in Gaborone.
She was arrested at Phase Two in Gaborone the same day after being found in the company of other suspects who allegedly robbed a security company cash in transit vehicle at Gaborone main mall.
The other suspects from the robbery died during a shootout with the police.
According to an earlier media release from the police, about 11-armed men robbed a cash in transit motor vehicle, getting away with P986 000 at main mall in Gaborone last week Wednesday morning.
The suspected robbers fled the scene with the police, giving chase to a certain house at Phase II, where a confrontation erupted leading to the injury of one police officer and deaths of ten of the suspects.
The alleged suspects were found in possession of pistols and AK47 assault rifle, whilst undisclosed cash was recovered. Ends
