Officers urge Form Threes to focus

28 Feb 2022

Form three pupils at Badale Junior Secondary School have been encouraged to, as early as now, start focusing on yielding positive results in their junior certificate (JC) examinations.

As they spiritedly should, the ‘I can do it’ mantra led by officers from Ministry of Basic Education, Bobirwa Sub -region, the Form Threes were motivated to set their sights on the beacon called success and strive towards its attainment.

Bobirwa Sub-region initiated a motivational tour of all the 11 junior schools under their ambit to motivate pupils to achieve better results.

Among other things, pupils were cautioned against unbecoming behaviour while simultaneously encouraged to visualise their dreams.

Although the current Form Threes started JC studies in 2020, when the world started feeling the impact of COVID-19, they were encouraged to rise above the challenges.

Speaking on behalf of those  who attained A in the 2021 JC examinations, Agang Botlhoko encouraged the Form Threes to persevere and compete with selves.

She discouraged competition among peers, saying it could breed selfishness and greed, among other undesirable results.
“Be your won completion.

Be the best version of yourself,” she said and called on the learners to assist one another in fields they were struggling at.

The young lady gifted the Badale JSS pupils with what she called a ‘triple C declaration.’

She said the Form Threes should tell themselves that, “I have a Chance to make a Choice that will Change my life.”

Pearl Gaseitsiwe, a former Mosetlha JSS pupil encouraged the learners never to give up on their dreams.

She also encouraged hard work, among other things.

For his part, head of department at the school, Mr Morris Selema noted that pupils lost focus at Form Three despite having performed well at lower classes.

He attributed the change in attitude to the fact that some become sexually active when they reach Form Three.

He noted that being sexually active distracted stars and reduced them to ordinary performers.

He revealed that ever since arriving at the school in 2017 there had always been a Form Three girl who wrote exams either pregnant or just after giving birth. ENDS
