Leaders meet

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and his Zimbabwean counterpart, Mr Emmerson Mnangangwa at Victoria Falls Airport yesterday. The two heads of state are in one of the world’s famous tourist spots for today’s meeting of the 3rd Botswana-Zimbabwe Bi-National Commission (BNC). Convened at heads of state level, the commission is a prominent bilateral mechanism giving the two countries a platform to engage extensively on issues of mutual interest. The session is expected to exchange views on the status of Botswana-Zimbabwe bilateral relations and review progress on the implementation of cooperation commitments made at the commission’s 2nd session held two years ago.
