DPS showers ministers fraternal with praises

The Ministers’ Fraternal committee has received accolades for playing part in issues of national interest.
Speaking during Kanye Ministers’ Fraternal committee handover in Kanye on Wednesday, deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs, Mr Motse Otlhabane,
said the organisation was active in the socio-economic development of the country as well as contributing to nation building.
“Ministers’ fraternal create a platform for churches to speak in one voice for issues affecting the lives of Batswana for a better Botswana,” he said.
He challenged churches not only to be custodians of spirituality, but rather go beyond their scope of work and look into day to day issues of life on a broader spectrum.
Mr Otlhabane also encouraged churches to partake in food security efforts, nutrition farming and poverty eradication for the church to be healthy as the whole body of Christ, adding they could form a youth cooperation that specialised on food production.
He said Christians should be seen shining in all spheres of life as God had called his people to enjoy life to the fullest.
He said leadership needed guidance and wisdom from God, noting it was paramount to recognise God’s favour as from time immemorial people had abounded in his mercies.
He thanked the outgoing committee members for the smooth transition of the leadership and for developing their village as well as yearning to proliferate the word of God.
For her part, chairperson of Kanye ministers’ fraternal, Ms Vivian Masibi, said ministers’ fraternal through stakeholders provided counselling services to communities during challenging times.
She encouraged fellow citizens to lend a helping hand on issues of national interest for a better Botswana.
Ms Masibi had retained the chairship or rather chairpersonship whereas Evangelist Owe Radipitse is vice chairperson.
Tshepiso Tau is secretary, Evangelist Peloentle Masala is vice secretary, Onkutlwile Ratsie treasurer, Okathusa Porati, Florah Baleseng and Pelonomi Otlaadisa are additional members.
Outgoing committee members were Cassim Tshoganetso who was the treasurer, Daniel Sennanyana who was vice chairperson, while Ntlamelang Borupile, George Curtin and Mpho Kamodi were additional members. Ends
